A moderator creates & defines the attributes of his group. Example:   a) A moderator can approve intragroup messages which is a default configuration called approval       on. He can change the configuration to Approval Off where members can send messages across       the whole group without moderator's approval.   b) Privilege to switch off this default approval to facilitate the members to communicate within the       group freely.   c) Monitors the group & remove the undesirable member from the group with the command BAN.   d) If a moderator closes his group, the group ceases to exist   e) A moderator enjoys the privilege to invite people of his choice.   f) He can allow the banned member to rejoin.

Banning is a privilege used to prevent a member from sending messages and getting access to your group. It's only the Moderator of the group who enjoys this privilege.
